Ronald Nels Millbauer

FAYETTE – Ronald Nels Millbauer, age 71, formerly of Detroit, MI, died Monday morning, October 16, 2023, at the home of his daughter in rural Fayette, while under the care of CHP Hospice. Ron was born December 2, 1951, in Detroit, the son of the late Arnold John and Ann Elizabeth (Dahlgren) Millbauer.
Ronald lived the majority of his life in Detroit, and moved to Fayette in his recent retirement. He learned the skill of mechanics at an early age, and employed his expertise throughout his working career as an auto mechanic. After serving an internship, he became the proud owner of a Tuffy's Auto Service Center franchise in Detroit, located at the intersection of 8 Mile Road and Lahser Road. Throughout his life he was an avid sports fanatic, always following the Detroit teams of the Lions, Tigers, and Red Wings. In his later life he was blessed with time spent with grandchildren and "grand-dogs" and enjoyed various cruises and travels. Affectionately remembered as strong-willed and stubborn, Ron simply lived life on his own terms to the best of his ability.
Surviving are his daughter, Kim (DJ) Kunkle of Fayette; son, RJ Millbauer of Westland, MI; sister, Carol (Dave) Ventimiglia of Livonia, MI; brother, Dave Millbauer of Holly, MI; four granddaughters, Alizae, Mackenzie, Marian and Aurora Millbauer; a grandson, Knox Kunkle; special niece and nephew, Kaili Coste and Craig Millbauer; and his first wife, the former Linda (Moore) Millbauer of Hudson, MI. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dwayne and Chuck Millbauer.
Per Ronald's wishes, cremation will take place and no public services will take place.
