Ronald James Miller, age 78 of Erie, passed away on Thursday August 21, 2025, at UPMC-Hamot Hospital. He was born in Brookville, PA on July 24, 1947, son of the late Boyd and Anna (Pierce) Miller.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, David, Henry and Don Miller; one daughter, Tracy Shadle, one grandson John Miller and one granddaughter Rachel Snippert.
Ron loved his family more than anything and was known to be the type of guy to give anyone the shirt off his back. He was a car enthusiast and loved his Chevys and Mopars, hot rods, and a "good race".
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Edwina (Schaper) Miller, two children, Ron (Jennifer) Miller of Erie and Wendy (James) Hall of North East; stepchildren, Frank and Shane Wallace and Emily Blake; grandchildren, Jamie Billing, Jordan Miller, Dylan, Angelina and Madison Kirby, Kevin Wallace, Shane Wallace Jr., Kristy Wallace, Eric and Cody Anderson, Chelsea Williams and Brandon Shadle and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Janet Kelly.
Friends may call at the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory – Pine Ave. Branch, 845 East 38th St. on Sunday August 31, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM until the time of the service there at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. To send condolences please visit www.bruggerfuneralhomes.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out to the family in c/o Brugger Funeral Home.
