Ronald Eugene Morris died in his home on April 11, 2011 at the age of 64 after a gallant battle with lung cancer with his wife holding him in her arms and his children and grandchildren at his bedside. His wife Margaret Morris, daughter Amber Morris, son Jerry Morris, Grandsons Malachi and Logan Mooneyham brothers Johnny and Lonny Morris and sister Bonnie Morris, six nieces and seven nephews, survives Ronald. Ron was a computer engineer for telecommunications for thirty-eight years. He and Margaret have been foster parents to many children spanning over twenty-five years and still hear from many of them to this day. Ron enjoyed home projects and had great pride in doing all the work himself. Ron also loved movies, history, fishing, and hunting, snow skiing, water skiing, boating, rodeos and football. Baseball was his true passion though. His ultimate dream would have been to play baseball in the Major Leagues. Ron was an intelligent, loving, gentle man. He lived his life morally and ethically always doing the right thing. He always gave great advice and helped his family and friends make good choices and decisions. His calm demeanor put all who knew him at ease. Ron felt his greatest accomplishment was his family. He was so very proud of his children and his grandchildren; he loved them with all his heart. Ron and Margaret where married for almost forty-one years. Ron loved Margaret with all his heart he often said, "She is my one true love, his soul-mate, his best friend, his everything". Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 3PM-7PM at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 E. Platte Avenue. Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 10AM at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 E. Platte with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
