Ronald Louis Mrowiec, age 88 of Chicago, beloved husband of Veronica June for 55 years; loving father of Cathy (Cheryl), Michael, Mark (Mary) and Ron (Leisa) Mrowiec; dear grandfather of Caitlin, Michael, Matthew (Sierra), Samson, Aki, Drew, Emma (Joe), Brian, Scott, Bella; dear great-grandfather of Clayton; dear companion of Maria. Preceded in death by his parents Al and Helen; daughter-in-law, Liz and brother Kenneth (Megan).
Ronald was the president of his graduating class at Northwestern University, a proud U.S. Army veteran and even a private pilot. He was also an accomplished photographer documenting the likes of the Cubs, White Sox, Chicago Bears, famous athletes such as Walter Payton, Ron Santo, Roberto Clemente, Arthur Ashe and momentous historical events like the 1968 Chicago Democratic Convention.
Visitation Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Annunciation Roman Catholic Church, 22333 West Erhart Road. Mundelein, IL. Committal Service with burial at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.
