Rita L. Mrowiec

Rita Louise (Foht) Mrowiec, 97, of Rockford, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024 after a long illness at St. Anne's Center. Born December 25, 1926 in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of John Francis and Louise (Lochmaier) Foht. Graduate of Rockford West High School. Married Thaddeus "Ted" Joseph Mrowiec on June 26, 1948. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church for 76 years and Women's League. Rita was original business partner of Artline Screen Printing from 1973 to 1990.
Survived by her children, David (Shawna) Mrowiec of Rockford, Catherine (Kenneth) Eakman of Rockford, and Caroline Meinert of Dinuba, CA; blessed with nine grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband of 56 years, Thaddeus; sister, Evelyn Foht Effler; brother, Kenneth Henry Foht; son, Kenneth Steven Mrowiec; infant daughter, Patricia Ann Mrowiec; granddaughter, Nicole Dumas Jackson; and son-in-law, Daniel Meinert.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 201 Buckbee St., Rockford. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago, IL.
