Ronald Wesley Muellenhagen, age 75, of Roscommon, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home on August 24, 2025, with his loving wife by his side.

Ron was born on May 18, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Wesley Julius Muellenhagen and Marie Josephine (Ide) Muellenhagen, and stepson of Florence Elizabeth (Hilliard) Muellenhagen, all of whom preceded him in death. He was an only child.

He grew up in Detroit and proudly enlisted in the United States Navy on December 19, 1968. After his service, he earned his State of Michigan Plumbing License and began a long and dedicated career. Ron worked for St. John Hospital and Medical Center for 18 years before joining the Plumbers Local 98 Union Hall, where he served until his retirement in 2015.

Upon retirement, Ron and his wife Patricia Diane (Stroer) Muellenhagen, whom he married on September 24, 1971, moved to their dream home in Roscommon, Michigan. Together they shared 53 wonderful years of marriage.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Ron played baseball, hockey, racquetball, and pickleball, and enjoyed both downhill and cross-country skiing. He also found great joy in fishing and fly fishing. His passion for life, his love for family, and his dedication to his work and community will be remembered by all who knew him.

Ron was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; his children, Stacey Ann James (husband Steven) and Matthew Wesley Muellenhagen; and his beloved grandchildren, Matisyn Ann Muellenhagen, Gabriella Muellenhagen, and Rebekka Muellenhagen.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Michigan Parkinson Foundation: parkinsonsmi.org
