Age 74, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Owen and Mary (Philip) Muffler. Ron graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School, where he played football and baseball. He attended Niagara County Community College and Bryant and Stratton, earning his Associate's Degree. Ron proudly served in the National Guard from 1968 to 1974. On April 3, 1971, he married the love of his life Gail A. (LaBarber) Muffler and he told her daily that she was "cute as a button." He worked as an insurance broker for over 50 years, at Lawley Insurance, Vanner Insurance and Assured Partners Insurance in Amherst, NY. Ron was a longtime member of River Oaks. He enjoyed golfing and watching sports on TV, especially football. He loved his home landscaping, going to Florida, going out with friends, Friday night couples golf and dinner. Although he always loved football, Ron took the time to learn about track and field, soccer and rowing to keep that special bond with his grandchildren. He attended nearly every one of their events, and if he couldn't be there in person, he made sure to get real-time updates and always called to congratulate or encourage them. He was truly their biggest fan. Above all, he loved his family and cherished spending time with family especially his grandkids and always putting them first. In addition to his wife of 54 years, Ronald is survived by his children, Michelle (Kris) Christensen and Kimberly (Rob) Castiglione, grandchildren, Michael and Brooke Christensen and Joey and Nicky Castiglione, his brother, Robert (Jeanne) Muffler, and two nieces and a nephew. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 10–12 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304, where Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon.
