Ronald E. Pader, 60, of Wolcott, CT, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

Ron was born on September 17, 1964 in Meriden, CT to Linda L. (Yother) Pader and the late Milton E. Pader. He graduated from Maloney High School, Class of 1982 and went on to Wilcox Technical School where he earned his certificate in welding. He was a Class A Welder and talented tool and die maker by trade.

Ron was an avid lover of the outdoors and spent much of his life hunting and fishing. He belonged to the Durham Rod & Gun Club and the Bristol Fish & Game Club. He was proud to be a Freemason, a member of Masonic Meridian Lodge No. 77 in Meriden, CT. Other hobbies he enjoyed were biking, kayaking and snowmobiling. Cooking was a passion of his, especially perfecting the cajun venison he shared with friends and family. Ron left an unforgettable mark on everyone he met. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, heart of gold and his meticulous approach to all passions in his life. A force to be reckoned with, Ron filled every room with his energy. Always ready to lend a helping hand, he touched numerous lives with his generosity. One of his proudest accomplishments was teaching his daughter to be handy like himself.

In addition to his mother, Linda Pader of Plainville and Barefoot Bay, FL, he is survived by his cherished daughter, MacKenzie Pader and her fiancé Angel Bailey of Southington; his sister, Sandy Drozd and her husband Alex of Wallingford; his nephews, Ryan Drozd of Plainville and Steven Drozd and his wife Kaitlyn and their daughter Lucy of Milford.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or to the American Cancer Society (https://www.cancer.org).
