Coats, NC: Mr. Ronald “Pete” Patterson, age 78, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM-Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Coats Methodist Church in Coats, NC. Rev. Paul Cecil will officiate. Burial will follow in Coats City Cemetery in Coats, NC.

Mr. Patterson was born on January 31, 1946 in Harnett County, NC to the late Frank and Iola Black Patterson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Charles Curtis Patterson, brother, Gene Patterson and sister, Dorothy Gray Patterson. Mr. Patterson graduated from Erwin High School, and was a member of the Erwin High Goodfellas. He was a retired mortgage banker. Mr. Patterson was a member of Coats Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Erwin Lions Club, where he served in many capacities. Mr. Patterson was an avid sports fan, and was loved by his family. 

Survivors include his wife 51 years, Joan Ivey Patterson, son, Jason Lee Patterson and wife, Amy; grandchildren, Emma Patterson and Cara Patterson; special friends, Lonnie and Sally Dorman; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM, Monday, September 2, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats, NC and other times at the home.

The family wishes to express thanks to caregivers, Shelia Beasley, Jennifer Flood, Holly Byrd, Felicia Hernandez, and Pandora Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be sent to Coats Methodist Church PO Box 388, Coats, NC 27521.
