Ronald Lee Remmers

PEORIA – Ronald Lee Remmers, 51, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, formerly of Peoria, died at 10:50 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Crockett Hospital, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, following a courageous fight against cancer. He was born August 20, 1962, in Peoria, to Joseph and Mary Burdette Remmers. He is survived by his mother, Mary Remmers of Germantown Hills; his sisters, Anne (Tom) Novey of Sheridan, Illinois, Nancy (Lindy) Jewell of Germantown Hills; his nephews, Cameron (Stefani) Jewell of Gilson, Parker Novey of Sheridan; his nieces, Mora Novey of Sheridan, Alexis Jewell of Germantown Hills; his step-brothers, Jeff Inman of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee and Michael Inman of Bradenton, Florida. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Lee Remmers; his grandparents, Robert and Ora Burdette and LeRoy and Ruth Remmers. He was self employed, working as a mechanical engineer. He was a member of the Church of the Messiah, in Pulaski, Tennessee. He was an avid coin collector, loved Civil War history, Formula One racing and enjoyed attending the Sebring Endurance Race in Florida every year. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2014, at the Wilton Mortuary in Peoria. The Rev. Herald Camacho will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 31, at the mortuary. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Memorials may be made to the Church of the Messiah, 114 N.
