Ronald Renfroe Obituary
Publish in a newspaper
Mr. Renfroe was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from the George County School System. "Mr. R", as many of his students called him, served as a school teacher, coach, school bus driver, principal, director of transportation and maintenance, and interim superintendent of education during his tenure. He was essential in the formation of the Rocky Creek Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margarette Beth Renfroe; son, Ronald V. (Lisa) Renfroe; son, Dustin L. Renfroe; daughter, Margaline Babette (Mike) Hamlin; grandsons, Robert Ford (Jessica) Renfroe and Reid Vaughn (Felicity) Renfroe; nieces, Brenda Renfroe, Peggy (Ron) Larson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert W. and Madeline V. Renfroe; brother, Robert W. "Bobby" Renfroe Jr; sister-in-law, Ruby Renfroe.
The funeral will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Jeff Morris officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Lucedale.
Calling hours will be Friday, October 3, 2025 from 10:00am-12:00pm at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS.
