Age 63, of Scott Twp., passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Beloved husband of 38 years of Lynn A. (YaSenka) Rieger. Loving son of Frank W. and the late Mary Lynn (Greenaway) Rieger. Cherished father of Nicole Rieger, Keith Rieger, Sean Rieger (Emily), Hannah Rieger, Aubrey Rieger, Basil Rieger, and Joe Sherba. Doting grandfather of Thomas Justice and Charlotte Rieger. Brother of Alyssa Kelly, Aric Miller, Andrea Allison, and the late Melissa Rieger. Ron is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
He was a coach of the local Scott Township baseball and basketball teams for 17 years. Ron loved Pittsburgh sports and was an avid golfer. He enjoyed traveling and going on family vacations every year. Above everything, Ron loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
All are welcome Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., 15220 (412-563-2800). His Memorial Service will take place Friday, January 26, 2024, 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Unity Presbyterian Church, 1146 Greentree Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15220 or to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania, 317 East Carson Street, West Tower, Suite 238, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
