Ronald V. Rogers, 80, of Lake Park, died on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at his residence following a period of declining health. Born in Valdosta to the late Harley & Bernice Coggins Rogers, he had been a lifelong resident of this area. Growing up in Jennings, FL, he graduated from Jennings High School in 1962, where he played football and was voted Best All-Around during his senior year. Ronald had already started working on the family farm from an early age, but after high school, he also began planting pines and operating heavy equipment. One day while working in tobacco, he met the former Linda Crosby. They soon started dating and were married on December 4, 1970. The following year, Ronald started working at Occidental in White Springs, FL, and worked there until his retirement in 2000. His favorite pastime was ‘piddlin’, which could mean anything from tinkering on equipment, working outside or getting ready to go hunting. Ronald was a member of the Alapaha Lodge #209 in Statenville and the Jennings Assembly of God.
