Memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Miller Funeral Home in Fridley for Ronald "Ron" R. DeBrobrander, age 90 in Fridley, passed away September 13, 2025 at his home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home in Fridley.
Ron was born on February 19, 1935 in Wheaton, MN to Maurice and Minnie (Jacobsen) DeBrobrander. He was united in marriage to Elaine McElwain on June 29, 1953 in Wheaton. After they got married, they moved to Fridley to start their family and continued to live there the rest of their lives. Ron worked for Glendenning Motor Ways 20 years. After that, he owned a dump truck and operated DeBrobander and Sons until he retired in 2000. Ron enjoyed camping, fishing, poker, cruises, going to the VFW, watching football, and spending time with his family and friends. He recently celebrated his 90th birthday at Moore Lake Park and enjoyed every minute of it surrounded by his loved ones. He was generous, caring, easy going, independent, and had a good sense of humor.
Ron is survived by his children, Debbie (Jeff), Darel (Cindy), David (Terri); grandchildren, Dennis, Janna, Amanda, Joe, Julie, Allan, Ryan, Darel, Angie, Eric, and Kevin; 14 great grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elaine; son, Dennis; and brother, Rodney.
