Ronald "Ron" Sutton Obituary

Published by Porter Loring Mortuary North on Jun. 28, 2020.
The man, the myth, and the legend Ron "Rhino-Ronaldo" Sutton died on June 28, 2020. Ronald Albert Sutton was born in Kentucky on a beautiful day in August 1967 to his mother, Martha Morrison and father, Ronald Thomas Sutton. The birth and death of this great man, however, is not nearly as relevant as the days and nights that he lived to the fullest between those two dates. Ron was preceded in death by his birth parents, adoptive parents: Tim and Phoebe McBee, and brother Bo Sutton. Ron was a loving father of 4 children Angelica, McKenzie, Mariah, and Nathaniel: otherwise known as Shoog, Gracie- Loo, and Bear. The mother of his children, Susan Sutton, accompanied Ron in life for 30 years. Ron was engaged to Christine Gerhard prior to his passing. Ron is additionally survived by his siblings, Barbara "bug" Merrill, Christine Elliott, David Sutton, his daughter in law Jessica Tapp as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a lifetime of friends. Perhaps the most important to Ron was educating people on the Zaloboo Chicken, Rhino Status, his love for short shorts and "Rock-n-Roll." Ron always persuaded his family and friends to persevere through any situation they encountered. Ron's guidance and support was not limited to closing a car deal, ordering tacos, how Chelsea FC is the BEST soccer team, waking early to bike rides and how to be the best human you can possibly be. Ron loved everyone he encountered whether he met them on the street, or they were family. He was driven to provide, create, and love the life that he lived in every fashion possible. Ron opened his heart and his home as a vessel to spread the word of God and actively participated in fellowship at Community Bible Church. Ron will never be forgotten by the countless lives he touched. Gone to soon, I enjoyed the time we sent a San Antonio DCJ... Your positive attitude and never ending energy set the tone for all of us. Plus our time on the soccer pitch will remain one of my favorite. Even though I was old and slow, you were there for me...To your family and friends, we lost a great man.

I couldn't believe it last Sunday when I received that terrible news from Mo. Ron I am so glad that I had the pleasure of knowing you. You were a great friend, and you will always be in my heart. So kind and caring of other's, I never heard you say anything bad about anybody. That's just the kind of spirit that you had. Your children will be fine because you were a great dad. Take your rest, my buddy. Forever your friend, R.C.!

Another angel walks along with God , our hearts were disrupted and disturbed by such a sudden goodbye but the reunion you are attending is what helps us grief with a lil less pain in our hearts . You were a great mentor , manager , friend so much comes to mind when I think of you but more than anything a beautiful soul full of life, joy and great sense of humor . There was always a chicken joke or riddle that i could never guess but it was the highlight of my days at San Antonio Dodge working next to one of the best ! Long live the Rhino ! #hakunamatata #chicken #lovealways Deya !

Ron brought me nothing but joy and happiness. He will forever be in my heart. That man loved God with a passion, and he let everyone know it and feel it. Ron showed me the path to God, and as I look back over the 18 months that we had together, I truly believe it was a mission given to him by God, to show me the way. I will be forever grateful to him for that. Your mission is complete, and you are now dancing with Jesus! I love you, I will always love you, and I know I will see you again one day! Rest In Peace My Love!

Prayers for your family. I can remember his huge smile and personality at McKenzie and Jessica's wedding. His love of life and family was apparent.
