Ronald “Ronnie” Wesley Arrington, 77 of Charlotte Court House, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025 with his children by his side. He was born on the family farm in Charlotte County on January 12, 1948 to parents Carson Wesley and Mabel Gibson Arrington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Nason (Jean) Arrington, sister Barbara Cawthorne, Audrey (John) Rutledge, brother-in-law Mel Matthews.

He is survived by his daughter Christy (Kenneth) Toombs, son Todd (Toni) Arrington, grandchildren; Austin (Liz) Toombs, Noah Toombs (Leighan Payne), Brayson Arrington (Lilly Puckette), Brennan Arrington (Sidney Hamlett), Baylor Arrington and a bonus grandson Cole Reynolds (Raegan Swanberg); his brother Watkins (Florene) Arrington, sister Peggy Matthews and brother-in-law Steve Cawthorne; mother of their children, Janet Arrington; a host of nieces and nephews; and a special cousin Mickey Gibson.

Ronnie attended Randolph Henry High School where he played football. Ronnie served his country in the U S Army and had a tour in Vietnam where he received a bronze star medal for his service. After Vietnam he pursued several employment opportunities one including carpentry where he worked alongside his father and brothers constructing many houses, cabinets and furniture for many families in Charlotte County. He briefly coached little league football of which he was very proud of his “Junior Redskins” team. He played several years on adult softball leagues where he got to play alongside his nephews Darryl and Curtis Arrington. His favorite past time was being outdoors, hunting, golfing, and working in his yard. He loved going to watch his nephews, children and grandchildren play sports, when able, he rarely missed an event.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 2:00PM – 3:00PM at Mt Nebo Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow starting at 3:00PM and interment will be in the church cemetery. Puckett Funeral Home is serving the family. www.puckettfh.com.
