Ronald R. Shappy Sr. of Grand Isle, VT passed away on February 16th 2026 after years of declining health at the home of his daughter & son-in-law in Isle LaMotte, VT with his family by his side.
He was born on January 14, 1933 in Burlington, VT to Howard and Marie (Nichols) Shappy
He was a United States Army Veteran during the Korean conflict and proudly part of the VFW Color Guard for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and all types auto racing with his family.
Together with Marlene (Dolly) Shappy he had two children.
Dad to Joan & Steve Peters and Ronald Jr & Sandra Shappy.

Great Pa to Brianna, Taylor, Autumn, Chesney, Gracie, Isaiah, Carter & Harper
Great Great Pa to Rhysand, Theodore, Emmett, Waylon and Mayzie and brother to John Shappy
He was predeceased by Dolly, his parents, and his siblings.
We are extremely grateful to his health care team for all their support.

Visiting hours will be held Friday Feb 20th, 2026 from 4:00PM-7:00PM in the Minor Funeral Home. Prayer service with Father Feltz will begin at 7PM.
