Ronald Shea ObituaryWATERBURY: Ronald E. Shea, age 77 of Waterbury, beloved husband of 58 years to Christine (Bodnar) Shea, entered peaceful rest on Friday, October 3, 2025 in the West Haven VA Medical Center with family by his side. Born in Burlington, VT on October 27, 1947, he was a son of the late Arnold and Joyce (Lewis) Shea.
A proud US Air Force veteran, Ron was the founder of Gold Star Tap Co. He loved and adored his wife, Christine, and they were reunited shortly after her unexpected passing at the end of September. He was an avid New York Yankees fan. He enjoyed gardening and spending time working in his yard surrounded by nature.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law Samuel and Helen (Mihalko) Bodnar, his sister Nancy (Shea) Lane and her husband John Lane, his brother-in-law Samuel Bodnar, his sister-in-law Sandra Shea. He is survived by his brother Raymond Shea of Beacon Falls, his nieces and nephew Ramona Shea, Patrick Shea, Christine Beaulieu (Marc), Robin Shea, Sheri Kulmala (Ken), Penny Masch and many surviving great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating their lives will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 10am in St. Michael Church, 25 Maple Ave. Beacon Falls, CT 06403. Interment will be held privately at the CT State Veterans'
