Ronald W. Sherrard, 84, of Warren, PA., died Monday morning, September 1, 2025, at Warren General Hospital, after an extended illness. Ronald was born April 5, 1941, in Sugar Grove, PA. He was the son of Clarence Sherrard and Mildred Dalrymple Sherrard Abbott. He was a lifelong, Warren Co. resident, moving to Warren in 1992. Ron was a 1959, graduate of Eisenhower High School. He was employed for 35 years, with the former National Forge Company, as a ladle operator. He was a volunteer fireman with the Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire Department. Ron enjoyed gardening, fishing, and dirt track racing.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bonnie L. Jackson Sherrard, whom he married June 22, 1962, at Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, Sugar Grove, PA., 4 Children – Sheri Kowalski and husband, Joe of Pittsfield, PA., Dawn Cataldo and husband, Mike of Sugar Grove, PA., James Sherrard of Lakewood, N.Y., John Sherrard of Warren, PA., 1 Sister – Barbara Jean Stoddard of Corry, PA., 4 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Warren Abbott, his twin brother, Donald Sherrard, his sister, Shirley Perkins.
A private funeral service will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Those wishing to place memorials may do so through Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire Department, 27 Wilson Street, Sugar Grove, PA. 16350 or Pleasant Township Volunteer Fire Department, 539 Pleasant Drive, Warren, PA. 16365.
