We have known Ron and Pat since the early 1970's when he was an executive for Standard Grocery and the Indiana Division. Mr. Shooltz provided outstanding management and leadership to our division which was in serious trouble when he arrived. He instilled a new sense of discipline and forward thinking and within a year turned this division around. Ron led and developed many of us into much stronger retail people and helped create a much needed vision.
Many of his former employees were also grateful that he and Pat stayed close to so many in the years that followed. He was greatly admired and respected throughout the entire food industry, and we were proud to call him a boss and a friend. He will be greatly missed, out deepest prayers go out to the entire family.
