Ronald M. Small, devoted husband and father, passed away on March 21, 2025. He was a resident of Watkinsville, Georgia.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Connie, the love of his life; his daughters, Diane Brannon and Kathy Knight (Tim); his three grandsons, Gregory Brannon (Makenzie), Kevin Brannon (Danielle), and Hunter Knight; his granddaughter, Alexandra Knight; and his great-grandson, Kenson Brannon.
Ron was born on July 21, 1940 in New York to Dorothy and Malcolm Small. At an early age, his family moved to Pennsylvania, where his passion for flying began. He launched his aviation career with Allegheny Airlines before moving to Atlanta in 1961 to join Delta Air Lines. Ron enjoyed a long and fulfilling career with Delta, retiring after 37 years of service. His passion for aviation made his work a joy, and he took great pride in his career.
Ron and Connie shared 62 wonderful years together, filled with love, cherished memories, and the joy of raising a beautiful family.
His interests included aviation, reading, history, travel, puzzles, and, above all, his family.
We find great comfort in knowing that Ron’s legacy lives on through the lessons he taught, the love he shared, and the lives he touched. We will forever cherish the many beautiful memories we have.
