He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Lori Smith; brother, Gerald (Jean) Smith, sister-in-law, Peggy (Jeff) Stiltjes; nieces, nephews, relatives and very dear friend, Cheryl Hietpas.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna; brothers-in-law: Tom and Rob Wheelock, and a close friend, Tom Ciske.

A Memorial Service for Ron will be held at 11 AM, on Sat. Jan. 10, 2026, at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Appleton with Rev Jon Kuske officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 AM until the time of services. He will be laid to rest along with his wife at Historic Riverside Cemetery in Appleton.

Ron's family would like to thank the staff of Oakridge Gardens for their wonderful care of Ron these past few months.

Dad was a good man with a big heart. He loved me and was so proud to introduce me to his friends. Thank you for being a great Dad. I know you are in God's hands, reunited with Mom and not suffering anymore. I Love you Dad and will never forget you.

Love Lori
