Wilmington - Ronald Dean Sox, a cherished father, brother, son, and grandfather, passed away on May 22, 2025, in New Hanover County, North Carolina, at the age of 62. Born on September 26, 1962, in Alamance County, North Carolina, Ronald lived a life marked by dedication to his craft and a passion for his hobbies.
A skilled contractor and master carpenter, Ronald was known for his meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence in every project he undertook. His work left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of witnessing his craftsmanship.
Beyond his professional life, Ronald found joy in the simple pleasures. He loved to go surf fishing, where he could often be found casting a line into the ocean's embrace. Golfing was another pastime he enjoyed, relishing the challenge and camaraderie it brought. Additionally, Ronald had a fondness for the thrill of drag racing, a testament to his adventurous spirit.
Ronald is preceded in death by his father, Willard Ronald Sox, and his sister, Rhonda Jo Poleo.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Kahlen Sox; his devoted brother, Jeff Sox; his loving mother, Patricia Sox; and his cherished grandson, Jax Hale. Ronald's family and friends will forever remember him for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering love.
