Ronald R. Spindel

Ronald R. Spindel, 71, passed away on Tuesday, January 17.2023 at home with his family after
struggling with Multiple System Atrophy/Parkinson's disease for many years. He was the
husband of Shirley "Spooky" (White) Spindel for 41 years.
Ronnie was self-employed from the age of 19. In 1983 he opened Nipmuc Marine & Auto in
Mendon and ran the business with his wife until his retirement.
Ronnie loved to spend time with his family, telling funny stories or just hanging out. He also
loved to share his enjoyment of boating, listening to music, biking, water or snow skiing, scuba
diving, cooking and sampling ice cream with his grandchildren, children and wife. He was
friendly and kind, and if he could make someone laugh or smile it would make his day. When
asked how he was doing, he would usually respond "Never had a bad day in my life!". He
maintained his kindness and sense of humor until his last moments.
He was born in Milford, the son of the late Eleanor (McMann) and Robert R Spindel. Ronnie
leaves his wife Spooky, his grandchildren Nicholas and Ari Ruggiero, his children Courtney
Elsmore and her husband Jason, Chelsea Spindel and her partner Justin Roy, and Brian Spindel
and his husband Michael Barsano. He also leaves his sister Eleanor Peterson and her husband
John, his brothers, Robert Spindel and his wife Mary, Roy Spindel and his wife Cheryl, and
Randy Spindel and his companion Jean Frost and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday Jan 26 from 4-7 at Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42
Congress Street Milford, Ma.
A celebration of his life will take place Friday Jan 27 at 10AM at the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home with burial to follow.
In lieu of flowers Ronnie asked that a donation be made to Faith and Family Hospice in Marlborough Ma, the Mendon Senior Center, or the charity of your choice.
