Ronald "Ronnie" Stone Steele, 80, of Patrick Springs, VA, died on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. He was born on October 22, 1941 to the late Realus Edward Steele and Beulah Tucker Steele. He is preceded in death by his wife, Judith Steele, one sister, Brenda Young and one brother, R.E. Steele.
He was a charter member of the Eagles Club and was self employed until his retirement.
Throughout his life he had a hand in a variety of different business ventures including owning the Wild Goose Market, operating his farm and mowing state roads. He had a strong love for farm equipment, collecting Willis Jeeps and 57 Ford Fairlanes.
Surviving are one daughter, Cheryl Steele Kiefer (William) of Patrick Springs, VA, three sisters, Sharon Corbett of Martinsville, VA, Kaye Glad of Stuart, VA, Rhonda Steele of Lawsonville, NC, two brothers, Dale Steele and Reggie Steele both of Lawsonville, NC, two grandchildren, Raechel S. Kiefer, Rebekah Schumaker (Landon), one great-grandchild, Claire Judith Schumaker, special fur-friend, Miller, special friend, Tim Wade, special caregiver, Robin Milette and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be will be held at 2:00 pm on February 8, 2022 at Norris Funeral Services in Stuart, VA. Burial will follow at Stuart Cemetery with Reggie Steele officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00pm to 2:00 pm.
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, all restrictions mandated by the state guidelines must be followed in addition the family's request mask be worn.
