Ronald Strait, Sr.
March 9, 1939 - April 4, 2023
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - Mr. Ronald Wallace Strait, Sr., 74, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at South Strand Ambulatory Care, Myrtle Beach.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732 with Reverend Eddie Usher officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park - Hollis Lakes Road, Rock Hill. The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm till 7:00 pm on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, Mr. Strait was the son of the late James Eugene Strait, Sr., and the late Elizabeth Collins Strait. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Eugene Strait, Jr. and his late wife, Mary Duncan Strait. He was a retired from Integrated Power Systems as a truck driver. He was an avid sports fan and especially a Gamecock fan. His favorite place to be was the beach, where he had longed to retire. He will be greatly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, brother and friends.
Mr. Strait is survived by his wife, Marilyn Yvonne Blackmon Strait; his son, Ronald Wallace (Wendi) Strait Jr. of Rock Hill; his daughter, Kimberly Dawn Strait of Rock Hill; his grandsons, Kane, Devin, Hunter, Kaiden; his granddaughters, Kori-Dawn, Mackenzie, Kamari; his brother, Frank Douglas (Joy) Strait of Mill Spring, NC, and many nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ronald W. Strait's name to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
