Ronald Swiston

It is with broken hearts that the family of Ronald Philip Swiston announces his passing on March 18 2019, age 86 after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his mother, Stella (1986) and father, Philip (1997). Reunited with our mother and the love of his life, Anna Swiston. Survived by his children, David (Lynne), Carol, Greg & Sharon (Maria) & grandchildren Sarah (Alex), Aaron and Chloe & step-grandchildren Shannon, John, Jaimey, Stacey & families. Retired in 1995 from American Can/Ball Packaging after 43 years of service. Dad was a founding member of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Resurrection & was on the board of directors of the Villa Kiev until he moved into building 1 in 2014. He will be lovingly remembered by sister-in-law Patty Kresak, many cousins and lifelong friends. He also enjoyed making new friends at the Villa Kiev & Sackville Senior Centre. Thanks to staff at Juravinski Hospital E3, M2, C3 & St Peters Hospital, West Wing.

Visitation will take place at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E., Hamilton on Thursday April 11th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with Panachyda at 8 p.m. Funeral service will take place on April 12th 11 a.m. at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Resurrection, 821 Upper Wentworth St. Hamilton. In lieu of flowers donations to The Canadian Cancer Society or SPCA would be appreciated.
