Ronald J. Tazioli, 71, passed away peacefully at his home in Mundelein, IL on Monday, July 21, 2025 after a two year battle with cancer. He was born January 19, 1954, in Highland Park, IL and had resided in his Mundelein home since 1979. Ron retired after 42 years as a mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service in Highland Park. He also spent over 20 years delivering pizzas for Bill's Pub in Mundelein, where he became a familiar and friendly face to many. A devout Catholic, Ron lived a life rooted in faith and love for his family. Family meant everything to Ron. He was a proud and devoted husband, father, and grandpa who always showed up - at games, school events, and holidays. His favorite tradition was the family's annual summer vacation to St. Augustine, Florida. Known for his sense of humor, bad dad jokes, and endless curiosity, Ron could fix just about anything and loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. Ron is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janet, and their 5 children: • Ron Tazioli (Kelly) of Stillwater, MN • Amy Healy (Jim) of Colgate, WI • Ken Tazioli (Stephanie) of Park Ridge, IL • Joe Tazioli (Eileen) of Park Ridge, IL • Becky Stewart (Lloyd) of Grayslake, IL He was a loving grandpa to 14 grandchildren: Sophia, Ronald J., Gino, Vinny, Jack, Mary, Matt, Giovanni, Nick, Henry, Mike, Finn, Ford and Fiona. He was a brother to 8 siblings. He was preceded in death by his son, James "Jimmy" Tazioli, and his parents, Geno and Margaret. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave., Libertyville. Interment to follow at Ascension Cemetery. For more information or to share a memory, visit www.burnettdane.com or call 847-362-3009.
