Ronald (Ron) Dean Uggla Sr. was called home to be with the lord on Friday May 19th, 2023, at the age of 88. Born in Chicago, Illinois on September 7, 1934, to the late Harry and Louella Uggla and survived by his loving wife Patricia Louise Uggla, daughters Kathryn Kim Ridenour and husband Derrel, Linda Jo Zoerb and husband Wally and Son Ronald Dean Uggla Jr. and wife Kendra.
Granddaughters Stacey Houk, Kristin Lopez, Melissa Drake, Brittany Short, Tiffany Bergman, and eight great granddaughters, Hannah, Ella, Ava, Everly, Colette, Mallie, Della, and Lily. Brother Jim Uggla, and two late sisters Mary Jane Goosens and Carol Zimmerman.
Ron was a proud member of the Tulare First Baptist Church and for many years enjoyed bible study groups and fellowship with his church family. Prior to that he was also an active member of the Conservative Baptist Church in Hanford where he served as a Deacon and a Broadcaster for their radio ministry. Ron enjoyed golfing, working in the yard, spending time with family, and playing cards with his Friends. He was one of the top players on his High School basketball team and later served in the Air Force as an Honor Guard, a member of Special Services, and a Physical Instructor keeping his fellow servicemen in top shape while stationed on the island of Iwo Jima during the Korean War. After serving int he Air Force Ron worked in retail and eventually, he became co-owner of Vogue clothing stores. Ron was competitive, honest, and never met a stranger he could not turn into a friend. His life was filled with hard work, family, travel, and lots of love for his beloved wife "Patty" and his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren "his basketball team of girls.
Ron was a man of character with a great sense of humor who loved his family and his country. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten by those who were fortunate enough to have been a part of his wonderful life.
