Ronald D. Virzi
May 9, 1944 - September 13, 2025
Ronald D. Virzi died September 13, 2025 at his home in Sonoma, in the loving care of his family. Ron was born May 9, 1944. He lived in Corte Madera, Marin County, graduated from Tamalpais High School in 1962. He earned his degree in Business management Finance From Sonoma State University. Ron worked as controller for Christian and Foster General Construction Pomeroy Corp. Washington Group International until retirement.
Ron and Jeannine married in 1964. They celebrated their 62nd anniversary July 26, 2025. Ron was an outdoor person who enjoyed taking care of his olive grove, building projects and the peaceful beauty of his property.
Ron was a parishioner of St. Francis Solano Church, Knights of Columbus.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Irene Virzi, a brother, Frank Virzi. He leaves his wife Jeannine Virzi and a son Jeff Virzi (Victoria), a daughter Carrie Smith (Briant) Grandchildren: Tom Lucas, Maiah Lucas, Grace Virzi.
Ron loved God, his family his Country. He will be greatly missed. A special thank you to Continuum Hospice for their care.
Donations can be made in Ron's name to The Michael J. Fox Foundation / a world without Parkinson's. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, September 23rd at 10:30 a.m., at St. Francis Solano Church 469 Third St. West, Sonoma.
