Ronald I. Wilson was born on April 13, 1942, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Vincent Wilson, Jr. and Hazel (Martindale) Wilson. He was welcomed into heaven on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at 3:31am, at his home in Oklahoma City with his wife and children by his side.

Ron, as he was called, grew up in Henryetta and Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Ron graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1960. The day after he graduated, he joined the United States Air Force. During his twenty years and one day of service, he was stationed in Spain during the Cuban Missile Crisis, England, Turkey, and finally Blytheville, Arkansas. While serving his country proudly, his duties included Security Guard for B47, security for the flight line, and Manager for Reprographics.

While stationed in England, two of his daughters, Angie and Amy, were born. After retiring from the Air Force on June 1, 1980, he went to work in the oilfield for his sister and brother-in-law in Oakwood, Oklahoma. In October 1982, Ron met his future wife, Jackie. They were married on February 11, 1983, in Watonga, Oklahoma. To this marriage, two children were born, April and Andrew.

In 1984, the Wilson family moved to Oklahoma City. Ron started working for the United States Postal Service. He had a walking route for 27 years. He was dedicated and always provided for his family. Ron accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age. It was his faith that guided him through life.

Ron was an avid fan of the Thunder, OU Football, and the Dallas Cowboys. He certainly enjoyed his TV and watching his grandkids play soccer.

Ron is survived by his wife, Jackie, of the home; 3 daughters, Dr. Angie Curry and husband Steve; Amy Sullins and husband Paul; April Burnham and husband Jerry; 2 sons, Andrew Wilson and wife, Kristi; and Bobby Greer and wife Staci – He leaves behind 10 grandchildren; Ben, Josh, Peyton, Sara, Lilly, Shelby, G.R., Macey, Norah, and Aiden – 3 great granddaughters – Sadie Kay, Amelia Jane, and Laynee Brook – He is also survived by his sister, Peggy Wimbish and a host of many nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Hazel Wilson, sisters, Betty Stelzer and Judy Barwick.

Ron's legacy is defined by the kindness and affection he shared with everyone he met, leaving a lasting impact on all whose lives he touched.
