Jimmy Wayne Snelson

Jimmy Wayne Snelson, a devoted family man and longtime resident of Bartlesville, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Big Cabin, Oklahoma, at the age of 91.
Born on June 13, 1934, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to Roy and Violet (Brant) Snelson, Jimmy attended Okmulgee High School. He married the love of his life, Doris Ann Acree, on October 30, 1953, and they shared a loving marriage until her passing. Jimmy made Bartlesville his home for 59 years, where he had a distinguished career as a Plastic Technician at Phillips 66 until his retirement. A man of deep faith, he was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ and a dedicated member of the Adams Blvd Church of Christ.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Violet Snelson; his brother, Bill Snelson; and his beloved wife, Doris Ann Snelson.
He is survived by his children, Cynthia Ann Hale Parker of Big Cabin, OK, and Jimmy Wayne Snelson and his wife Donna of Bartlesville, OK. He is also survived by his two sisters, Carolyn Wallace of Tulsa, OK, and Connie Reed of Arkansas, along with three grandsons and five great-grandchildren.
Jimmy Snelson will be remembered for his steadfast commitment to his family, his faith, and his presence in the Bartlesville community.
