Ronald "Ron" Yohn, age 79, of Canton, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday January 21, 2026. He was born on April 12, 1946 to the late Melvin and Margaret (Berdel) Yohn in Canton, Ohio. He graduated from Canton Central Catholic High School and The University of Akron receiving a bachelor's degree in commercial art. He was a Vietnam War Army Veteran and was so proud of his service to our country.

He worked for The State of Ohio, Stark and Wayne Counties as a Cartographer and really enjoyed his work. Additionally he had his pilots license to fly planes and was rated to fly helicopters as well which he took great joy in. He was very artistic and enjoyed drawing. A man of great faith, he was a member of St. Michaels Arch Angel. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life like sitting on the porch enjoying a cup of coffee with his wife Grey and their two kittie cats, Mac and Oreo. He enjoyed a good sports rivalry . He became a Pittsburgh Steelers fan just so he could tease his dad who was a Cleveland Brown’s fan. Ron was very social and loved people. Some of his greatest joys came from spending time with his 4 grandchildren. The most important part of his life was his wife Grey, the love of his life. He often said the greatest day of his life was the day he married her. Ron loved to share stories about growing up on a farm with his sister Rosemary, his time in the Army and his adventures flying. Some of his favorite hobbies included fishing with family on trips to West Virginia, golfing and even mowing his lawn.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years; children Christie (Tony) Villemain, Kevin (Yvette) Jordan, Tim Jordan; grandchildren Jeremy Villemain, Alicia Jordan, Matthew Jordan and Sean Jordan; niece Charlotte (Calvin) Pelfrey; great-niece Zoe Pelfrey; and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his sister Rosemary (Tom) Rohr.

Private Family services were held.

A Memorial service will be held at a later date for all who would like to attend.
