Rongli Luo

Rongli Luo, 72, of Rockville, Maryland, passed away on September 27, 2025.

Born in Chengdu, China, to parents Luo Xiaolan and Luo Jianqun, Rongli built a life centered on helping others and caring for her family. She was a state-certified massage therapist and the proud owner of a successful practice for over eight years. Dedicated to her craft, she was known not only for her skill but for her compassion, helping countless clients-including doctors-find relief from pain. She trained her staff with precision and care, believing massage was more than relaxation-it was a pathway to healing and health.

Rongli's generosity extended far beyond her work. She had a big heart and was always ready to help family and friends in need, often offering to share her knowledge so others could bring comfort to their loved ones. She enjoyed walks in local parks, traveling to new places, and savoring good food in beautiful surroundings. Above all, her greatest joy was her family-her daughter, Lian Duan; son-in-law, Lu Jiang; beloved grandsons, YangMing Jiang and YiMing Jiang; and her husband, Jerry Umberger. She is also survived by her loving siblings and extended family in China.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 9:45 a.m., at Parklawn Cemetery, 12800 Veirs Mill Rd, Rockville, MD 20853. Please meet at the cemetery entrance, where the funeral procession will begin.

Her passing is an unparalleled loss. The world has lost an amazing woman who exemplified courage, compassion, kindness, and a deep devotion to family. She leaves an empty void in our hearts that can never be filled.
