Mr. Alexander was born on September 29, 1947, in McComb, MS to Bennie and Mildred Leonard Alexander. A United States Air Force veteran, he and his wife, Virginia, married soon after his discharge from the military. After living in Texas for a short period, the couple moved back to Mississippi, where they reared their children. Mr. Alexander was a hard-working man who was a loving husband and father to his wife and children. A former employee of Guaranteed Roofing in Jackson, he will be remembered for his great skill in the roofing industry. In addition to working as a roofer in Jackson, he ran his own company for a period of time and also worked for Reverend George Owens. During his years in Pearl, Mr. Alexander, along with his late wife, was very active in the First United Pentecostal Church there, supporting their pastors, Brother Matthews and Brother Spears. After living in Pearl for several years, Ronnie and Virginia moved back to the family roots of the Shivers community, where they enjoyed being semi-retired. Among his hobbies, his family relates that he enjoyed fishing and squirrel hunting; however, his greatest passion was spending time with his family. Mr. Alexander was of the Apostolic faith.
