Alison Lynn Boleware was born on May 31, 1971, in New Orleans, LA to Willie Senete and Lois Irene Hutchinson Roberts. As a young girl, she moved with her family from New Orleans to Bassfield, where she graduated from Bassfield High School in 1989. After raising her children, she pursued her passion for nursing with remarkable determination, earning her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) degree with an outstanding 4.0 GPA. Her career was a testament to her commitment to care; she began at the Covington County Nursing Home and later found her true calling administering Home Health Care in Jefferson Davis County with Amedisys Home Health Care. Alison was a shining light to many, her compassion and kindness leaving lasting memories with her patients, who often recalled her gentle presence long after her retirement.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Alison had a rich and vibrant personal life. An excellent cook, she delighted in sharing her love of Southern homestyle cuisine through her YouTube channel, "Cooking with Nana B," where she showcased simple, comforting recipes. Her children fondly remember her exceptional Mac and Cheese and perfectly fried chicken—dishes made with love and comfort. Alison was also an avid Disney fan, eagerly anticipating the joy of taking her grandchildren to Walt Disney World, a place she knew would bring smiles and cherished moments. Additionally, she cherished the serenity of Pensacola Beach, finding peace in the gentle Gulf waters and sugar sands.
Alison’s personality was marked by an unwavering selflessness and joy. She was known for brightening every room and situation she entered, always checking on the elderly to remind them they were not forgotten. Her spirit of giving was an inspiration and a true reflection of her faith and values as a dedicated member of Sure Anchor Baptist Church.
Alison Boleware’s legacy is one of love, service, and genuine kindness. She leaves behind a profound impact on all who had the privilege to know her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and every life she touched.
Alison is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Lois Roberts; step-mother, Angela Gibson; brother, Gary Wayne Roberts; her sister, Elizabeth Smith; and her mother-in-law, Cathy Dauzat.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her husband of 35 years, Steven Boleware; her daughter, Olivia Boleware (Brogan Mason); her sons, Brady Boleware (Maranda), and Brennen Boleware (Sydney Bridges); and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy Joe and Kathy Boleware. The legacy of their Nana B will also live on through her grandbabies, Benjamin and Marleigh Mae Boleware, who were her pride and joy.
