Ronnie Michael “Mike� Cherry age 35, a resident of 100 Christian Road, Washington, NC died Sunday, July 24, 2011. A memorial service will be held 7:00PM Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 15th Street Church of God in Washington officiated by Stewart Woodley. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00PM until the service hour. Mike was born June 8, 1976 in Beaufort County. He enjoyed life and spent much of his time with his family and friends. Mike began working at an early age with his dad Thomas Horton and learned his many skills from their time together. He worked in construction, he loved carpentry, fishing and playing golf. Mike is survived by his mother Diane Horton and dad Thomas Horton of Washington, one sister Niki Hewitt and husband Chris of Greenville, three brothers, Greg Cherry and wife Susan of Vanceboro, Brian Cherry of Washington, and Blake Horton and wife Kim of Stokes, six children Tyler James Hardison, Kaitlyn Marie Cherry, Justin McNeal Cherry, Hailey Lydell Cherry, Aydden Pierce Cherry, Michaela Grace Cherry and his best friend Heath Willard. Flowers are appreciated or memorials can be made in memory of Mike Cherry to his children c/o 3845 Camp Leach Road, Washington, NC 27889.
