Ronnie D. Cornelius, 58, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2025.

He was born December 16, 1966 to Ronald Dean Cornelius, Sr. and Louretta Mae (Jones) Smith in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Graduating from Lafayette High School in 1985, Ronnie exemplified a strong work ethic and determination from a young age. His commitment to his roots was evident when he took over the Cornelius Tree Service from his father. Ronnie worked and managed the family business for over four decades.

Away from work, Ronnie's passions were wide and varied. As an avid sports fan, he cheered enthusiastically for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals. His love for boxing was not far behind. He also enjoyed coaching his son's baseball team.

Ronnie had a huge heart. He would help family and friends in any way needed.

He was preceded in death by his son, Cameron Cornelius; grandson, Talyn D; grandparents, Donald Cornelius, Evelyn and Marion Bruce.
