Ronnie was the younger brother of my sister´s husband. So I knew him for about 50 years, ever since he came to Austin for the first time. He was a good friend to my brother, and even his roommate for a while. I enjoyed hearing about their endeavors, such a bowling or a Mexican food dinner.
Ronnie collected old maps, bottles, and petroleum industry signs. He always had a new story about some historic item that he had just bought or perhaps he almost bought.
Ronnie was perpetually in a good mood when he showed up for a family get together at our house. I appreciated seeing the relationship he had with my brother and his brother. I am going to miss him at our next get together.
