Bro. James Ronald "Ronnie" Gray of Albany, Kentucky passed away at his home Friday, August 25, 2023 having attained the age of 61 years, 10 months, and 6 days. He was born in Albany, Kentucky on Sunday, October 22, 1961 the son of James "Don" and Willa Dean (Beaty) Gray.
He was of the Apostolic faith, and a member of the Albany Full Gospel Church. He was former employee of the Clinton County Board of Education as bus driver, and assistant pastor under Bro. Eddie Neal at Albany Full Gospel Church. After Bro. Neal passed, he took over as pastor and was active in the church until he went to be with the Lord. He also enjoyed being with people, trading knives, working with his animals on the farm, and avid flea marketer.. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willard & Nora Beaty, Porter & Elsie Gray.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Lee (McGinnis) Gray, whom he wed on Saturday, October 12, 1985, his mother and father, James "Don" and Willa Dean Gray, children, Deana (& Michael) Thompson, Micaiah (& Ethan) Denney, Tyler (& Emily) Gray, Sabrina (& Isaac) Stearns, David Gray, Troy Gray and sibling, Robin Thrasher, all of Albany, Kentucky, grandchildren Alisha (& Cortez) Samek, Rosalie Thompson, Andy Thompson, Zoe Thompson, Brayden Thompson, Evie Thompson, Gatlin Denney, Waylon and Emma Gray, Abram and Ellie Stearns, Presley Gray, and one great grandchild, Willow Gibson as well as several nieces and nephews, friends and relatives.
The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. c.s.t. at the Albany Full Gospel Church, located at 609 Poplar Street, Albany, Kentucky. with Bro. Scott Jones & Bro.Gary Wallace,officiating Bro. Frankie Guffey reading the obituary, and a special eulogy by Brayden Thompson.The Family will receive friends at Campbell-New Funeral Home on Thursday, August 31, 2023 beginning at 5:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m.c.s.t. then again at Albany Full Gospel Church on Friday, September 1, beginning at 8:00 a.m. till the funeral hour.
