Ronnie Hicks

Ronald Allen “Ronnie” Hicks age 50 of Rocky Mount passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Ronnie was born on June 18, 1969 a son of the late Wilfred Lee and Ruby Stump Hicks. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Junior Hicks; one nephew, Joey Hicks; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert Early, Sr. and Lillie Pearl Tyree Patterson; sisters-in-law, Rachel Patterson, Patricia Ann Patterson and Audrey Patterson. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Linda Hicks; his siblings, David Hicks (Betty), Carl Hicks, Richard Hicks (Pam), Roger Hicks (Polly), William Hicks (Elaine), Helen Angell, Harold Hicks (Kitty) and Shirley Hicks (Billy); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Liz Tyree (Leroy), Robert Early Patterson, Jr. (Mary Ellen), Henry Patterson (Dionna), Minister Doris Allen (Bishop Leonard Allen), John “JW” Patterson, Mary Ellen Helms (Patrick), Bobby Patterson, Tracy Patterson and Brenda Gills. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews including two special nieces and one nephew, Crystal Hicks, Travis Hicks and Brittany Hicks “Stinky”; several other family members and friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2020 with Bishop Leonard Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Patterson Family Cemetery on Georgetown Road, Rocky Mount. Ronnie’s family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
