Ronnie Mark Jones, age 66, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, in his home. There will be a memorial celebration in Ronnie's honor in Clovis, with date to be announced. The family will have a private service.
Ronnie was born in Clovis,NM on August 4, 1959, to Cletis and Pat Jones, the oldest of three children. The Jones family was always very active, and Ronnie's interest in motorcycles grew at a young age. He began motor cross racing in local area races, and soon across state lines, winning countless competitions. The Jones family traveled far and wide in the motor home to support his passion for racing, creating so many special memories. In later years, Ronnie worked for his dad at the Jones Pontiac-GMC car dealership, alongside his brother, Brian, and again, later at High Desert Honda, where he and Brian ran the family motorcycle dealership. Ronnie then went on to work for the BNSF railroad for the past 10 years, retiring in 2024.
Among Ronnie's passions, he loved playing softball with his brother and friends for years and loved fishing. He competed in many bass fishing competitions and loved every minute on the water. Mostly, because he could go fast with the wind in his hair, one of the things he loved most in life. Ronnie was also accomplished in the kitchen and on the grill. A definite "foodie"! He loved making a feast for his friends and family and loved making people smile and laugh. He was the best storyteller.
Above all else in his life, Ronnie was most proud of his children; Kelcee and Kade.
Ronnie will be missed more than he'll ever know, but we know heaven has gained another angel. And most certainly, he and his dad are on an amazing motorcycle ride, laughing and smiling like old times.
Ronnie is survived by his children, Kelcee Withrow and Kade Jones, his mother, Pat Jones, his brother, Brian Jones, and his sister, Kim Jones.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Cletis Jones.
