Ronnie Lee Lammers, was born the youngest of four children of Albert and Erma (Jackson) Lammers on December 11, 1945, north of Riverton, Nebraska. Ronnie attended school in Minden, Nebraska until eighth grade then stayed on the farm to help his parents.
In 1965 he was married to Judith Hamilton in Minden, Nebraska and to this union six children were born: Mike, Steve, David, Robert, Stacy, and Amy.
Ronnie worked for several area farmers until he purchased his own truck and began Lammers Trucking Company in Riverton, Nebraska. Due to illness, he stopped driving in August of 2023.
In his leisurely time Ronnie enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting.
Ronnie passed from this life late Saturday, November 25th, 2023, at Heritage Care Center in Red Cloud, Nebraska. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, parents, his son David, sisters Phyliss Jameson, Donna Jensen, brother Gary Lammers; a great grand daughter Nevaeh Lucht and great grandson Dominic Lammers.
Left to cherish his memory is his long time friend Kaye Foster; his children Mike (Deb) Lammers, Riverton, NE, Steve Lammers (Tyrha), Inavale, NE, Robert Lammers (LaFona), Arapahoe, NE, Stacy Reed (Gary), Phillipsburg, KS, and Amy Schriner (Matt), Orleans, NE; grandchildren: Dustin Lucht (Jeralynn), Rebecca Lueking (Brian), Tony Lammers, Laranda and Maggie Lammers, Kendra Miller (Dusty), David Reed, Paden and Emorie Schriner; great grandchildren: Max, Jaia, Kaylee, McKenley, Peter, Grant, Nova, and Darci; the children’s mother Judith Lammers, Franklin; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
Ronnie will be remembered for his warm heart, vivacious laugh, and kindness to others.
Visitation with Ronnie’s family will be 7:00pm to 9:00pm Thursday, November 30th at the funeral home. His funeral service will be 11:00am Friday, December 1st, 2023, at the Crossgate Community Church, Franklin, Nebraska with Pastor Kasey Loschen officiating. Burial will be in Minden City Cemetery. Memorials in lieu of flowers should be made to the Riverton Fire Department. Hutchins Funeral Home, Franklin assisted the Lammers family with these arrangements.
