Sgt. Ronnie Loyal Mork, born June 20, 1951, in Dallas, Texas, to Clifford and Nellie Mork, passed away on November 9, 2025.
From a young age, Ronnie had a spirit all his own — determined, strong-willed, and full of mischief. During his senior year of high school, at just 17, he was told by a teacher to hold a desk over his head and stand in the corner. True to his nature, Ronnie chose his own path instead — he tossed the desk, quit school, and asked his dad to sign for him to enlist in the U.S. Army. It was one of the proudest decisions of his life.
Ronnie went on to serve his country with honor and carried that same dedication into his civilian life. He was recognized as Best Driver of the Year five years in a row during his career as a truck driver and also worked with Beaulieu Carpets, where his reliability and strong work ethic earned him the respect of many.
Those who knew Ronnie knew a man who never complained — a gentle soul with a stubborn streak and a heart of gold. He was tough as nails yet kind, a loyal friend you could always count on, and someone who never hesitated to lend a hand. His easy laugh and infectious smile could brighten even the hardest days.
Ronnie found peace and joy in the outdoors. He was in his element when fishing, camping, or cooking over a fire. He was a proud Dallas Cowboys fan, a jokester with a sharp wit, and a man who lit up when he saw his wife smile.
His wife lovingly recalls how they met — “BBQ, potato salad, and a football to the head. That’s all it took for us.” From that day forward, they built a life together filled with laughter, love, and memories that will never fade.
Some of Ronnie’s fondest memories included catching a 250-pound mako shark, his wedding day, the birth of his daughter, Amber Kirsten Mork, and his move out to the country — a dream fulfilled. His proudest moments were those that reflected his heart: serving his country, becoming a father, marrying the love of his life, and building a life surrounded by the simple things he cherished most.
Sgt. Ronnie Loyal Mork will be remembered for his strength, his humor, his quiet generosity, his infectious smile, and the steadfast way he faced life — a true trooper through thick and thin.
