Obituary of Ronnie L. Smalt
Ronnie Lee Smalt, 54, of Bath, NY, died July 9th, 2022, at St. James Hospital in Hornell, NY.
Ron was born at the Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital in Bath NY to Joseph V. Smalt and Barbara J. Putman on August 16th, 1967. He spent many years working alongside The Rogues band and as a laborer for numerous construction companies. He enjoyed going downtown to shoot a few games of pool, watching Nascar, and cheering on the Vikings! Ron had a passion for music. He was always found singing and dancing to his favorite tunes. Ron always made time for family and making memories. He always took pride in telling stories and sharing pictures of his children and grandchildren.
Ron is survived by his children, Zachary (Shawna) Smalt, Karlee (Kyle) Smalt, and Cayleigh Brooker- Smalt. He is survived by his grandchildren, Kaylie Young and Brody Barnhart. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Dan (Cheryl) Smalt, Gary (Jennifer) Smalt, Joseph Smalt, Jodie Stopka, and Katie (Dave) Shugars, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Joseph V. Smalt and mother Barbara Putman.
Burial and celebration of life will be held at a later date. Family will notify accordingly.
