Mr. Ronnie Carl Smith, age 68, of Westmoreland, TN passed away on April 28, 2023 at his home surrounded by family and friends. Ronnie was born July 15, 1954 to William Carl and Bessie Marie Settles Smith.
Ronnie retired from Shirley Farms in Scottsville, KY where he had worked for over 22 years. Ronnie was a kind and soft spoken Christian man, always willing to help anyone, no matter what the need was. He loved to play music and sing. He has done lots of benefits for many people in his time. He would be the first to speak up when someone was in need of help. He was a loving husband, father, brother, pa and friend. He will be dearly missed by so many.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, William Carl Smith and Bessie Settles Smith; his son, Eugene Smith; his brothers, Jimmy, Freddie, Richard and Donnie Smith; his sisters, Genene Chapman and Bonnie Smith; and his brothers-in-law, Steve and Karl Kendall.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Sheila Hyde; step-children, Jacob (Jake) Hyde and Felicia (Travis) Hammock; his grandchildren, Kendall Hammock, Kristen Smith, Justin Smith and Michael (Mikey) Smith; three great-grandchildren; his brothers, Roger (Jeanette) Smith and Victor (Aline Rowe) Smith; and his sister, Connie (Glenn) Parrett.
The funeral service for Mr. Ronnie Smith will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Chad Lambert officiating. Other speakers will be Chris Kendall, Warren Rose, Leon Graves, Landy Presley and Kenneth Wix. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Chris Kendall, Tony Kendall, Travis Hammock, Brian Shirley, Myles Shirley and Shawn Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Shirley, Nick Kendall, Zach Kendall, Logan Kendall, Ronnie Reece, Harold Carnahan, Carter Walden, Joe Strode, Nathan Copass, James Hagan and Richard Smith.
Visitation: Sunday, at 1:00-9:00 PM and Monday, at 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Woodard Funeral Home.
