Ronnie Thomason Obituary
Ronnie was born July 13, 1951 in Ripley, TN to the late Mr. L.B. Thomason and Mrs. Elsie Carol (Taylor) Thomason. He departed from this life on Friday, May 5, 2023 in Denton, TX.
Ronnie was raised primarily in Arizona. He married the former Ms. Brenda Elaine Henry on September 9, 1974 in Redkey, IN after two weeks of dating. They moved to Ringling in 1978 and thereafter to Gainesville. Ronnie retired from Weber Aircraft after 40 years of employment as the maintenance supervisor. He enjoyed fishing and hunting who was very skilled with a gun and bow and arrow. Ronnie was also really good fabricating just about anything. He was a member of the Church of God Fellowship Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; stepfather, Gene Johnson; wife, Brenda on February 14, 2022; son, Johnnie; brothers, Donnie Thomason, Furlin Thomason; James Johnson and Ricky Thomason; and sister, Sharon Grimes.
Ronnie is survived by his sons, Ronnie Lee Thomason, Jr and Cecilia Carter of Gainesville, Travis Thomason and wife Carrie of Gainesville, and Joe Thomason and wife Jennifer of Ringling; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald Johnson and wife Una of Elmore City, Willie Thomason and wife Carol of Ripley, TN; sisters, Tonie Tanner, Deborah Bowers and husband Tommy, and Patsy Land and husband Jeff all of Ripley, TN; and by a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Don Thomason, Dewey Taylor, Randy Ridenour, Brian Johnson, Bruce Miller, Bucky Lenderman, and Jimmy Don Taylor.
Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.
