ROOSEVELT ESTER

Roosevelt Ester entered eternal rest at his residence on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at the age of 80. He was a native of Rayville, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Roosevelt was a graduate of Alto High School Class of 1964. He was a retired cement finisher. Beloved father of Keith Bryant Ester, Sarayia Ester Dorsey, and adopted father of Jan’Nikia Havies. Son of the late Raz and Lillie Mills Ester. Brother of Mary Mills-Gray. Preceded in death by 2 grandchildren and 1 brother, also survived by 25 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Rock Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at St. Rock Baptist Church 2300 Rochelle St. Harvey, LA, on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Leonard Franklin officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service at the church. Interment: Evening Star Cemetery-Harvey, LA.
