Roosevelt Thames Obituary

Roosevelt was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers, Simon Thames and Charlie F. Thames, wo sisters, Icye M. Gatewood and Fannie M. Thames.
He joined Rose Hill Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Reverend Marvin Nichols in Union, MS.
He attended school in Union, and loved playing baseball.
He leaves to treasure his sweet memory two brothers, John L. Thames and Harvey L. Thames, three sisters, Evelyn Viverette, Tressie M. Viverette and Versie D. Windham: and a special niece, his caregiver, Marquetta Windham, a host of nieces, nephews and friends that loved him unconditionally.
Funeral services took place Friday, November 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Scranton Cemetery in Pascagoula, MS, with Dr. Willie Jones as the eulogist.
