On the night of November 14, 2025, he passed away at Wayne General Hospital. His loved ones who treasure his memories include one son: Adrian Pittman of Albany, NY; four sisters: Purlie (L.Z.) Cooley of Shubuta, MS, his twin sister, Odessa (Larry) Rankin of Waynesboro, MS, Dorothy (Gary) Dixon and Betty (Willie) Dixon both of Sunflower, MS; two brothers: T.L. (Geraldine) Pittman of Shubuta, MS and Freddie (Susie) Edwards of Sunflower, MS; four grandchildren: Cedric, Madison, Miles, and Mason all of Albany, NY, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Oliver was preceded in death by one sister: Annie B. Ollie; two brothers: I. D. and L. T. Pittman, and his daughter: Samantha Pittman.
Funeral services will take place Friday, November 21, 2025 at 2:30 PM at New Zion Cemetery. Mr. Pittman's viewing will occur Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home.
